Plymouth Community Overview

Located in Wayne County, Plymouth has less than 10,000 people who reside here on a regular basis. Since Plymouth is close to Ann Arbor and Detroit, you will always be able to find something to do in one of the surrounding cities. Downtown Plymouth is full of vibrant colors, structures, shops and restaurants all located around Kellogg Park. Kellogg Park is the center of Plymouth and it is the site of a fountain and farmers markets. Many other events are held here at Kellogg Park like Art in the Park, the Ice Festival, live summer music, and more. Take a leisurely stroll through downtown area and see what local artists and vendors have available for you. Enjoy the afternoon breeze while admiring all the sights and sounds of the downtown area.

There are more than 50 different recreational programs for students to come out and enjoy, so children will always have something to keep them busy. In January, Plymouth hosts the annual Ice Spectacular where people come out and carve ice into amazing statues while you watch. It is the oldest and largest festival throughout North America, which brings in half a million people every year to enjoy it.

Penn Theatre is a beautiful landmark in the local community and it shows quality movies for its patrons. Take a nostalgic trip down memory lane as you walk through the well-kept building on your way to see classic movies.
