Garden City Brief History

Conveniently located in Wayne County, Garden City is the home to around 28,000 people. As part of the Metro Detroit area, you are sure to find an array of features and benefits that you will love. The entire city was designed after the concept that was once popular throughout England in the 19th century. Most of the homes were sectioned with a one-acre parcel of land to provide them with the opportunity to farm and support their loved ones with vegetables and fruits. Most of the sites are much smaller today, so there is not an opportunity to grow your own foods like you could years ago. Some of the older homes still have their larger lots, so you will have to look around and find what works for you.

Garden City Attractions

You will be able to enjoy spending the day learning about history and relaxing in the peaceful surroundings. If you love animals, the Detroit Zoo is located close to the area as well.
