My husband and I have just purchased our first home, and I now know what people mean when they say it is one of the most stressful time in you life. I called Robin one day and told her we were interested in looking for a home, but had no money down, and not a lot of free time to go look at houses. Oh, and by the way, we have a 2- and 7-year-old that will have to come with us on showings. Robin confidently said "No problem, we'll work it out." and boy we did! I ended up bringing our 2-year-old to look at houses we were interested in ( and believe me if it wasn't for Robin¿s persistence and patience I would have given up pretty quickly), then when I found a house I liked, I would bring my husband back to look a it.
We looked and looked, but whenever we found something we liked it seemed we could never get a break. Robin seemed to always be there to let use know we'd find THE ONE and to just be patient. When we did find the one and put offer on it, we waited and waited¿only to find that the bank went under. We freaked! But again Robin was there to say "just give it some time, something will happen." And again she was right. We got the house! Then everything went crazy, we signed the papers, had to set back our move-in date, then we ran into more problems, but Robin was there the whole time, even after closing (and still now) to walk us through everything.
I don't know what we would have ever done without her. I could not imagine going through any of this with anyone else. She is the most determined, caring individual I have ever met and we would not consider selling or buying another house without her. I have not only found a Realtor for life, but a friend. That is what anyone will get when working with Robin Cooke, the jack of all trades! .

Robin helped me purchase my first home, a two-flat home where I will rent the upper unit. We looked at a number of homes with Robin pointing out the strengths and concerns of each. I thought she was crazy when she recommended I make an offer significantly below the asking price, but she said she had a hunch. I couldn't believe that the offer was accepted! Robin then recommended a home inspection company that was extremely thorough and responsive to my questions. When my dealings with an on-line mortgage company went badly, she quickly shifted me to one of her business partners and we closed the house on time (in less than 10 days) while simultaneously saving me over $5,000 in inflated closing fees. All in all, Robin saved me more than $17,000 on my purchase. She was always available when I needed a calm head. Most recently, she has helped me with the details of renting my flat. I have recommended Robin to my family and friends, and I plan to use her for future property purchases!

After moving to our dream house on Lake Chemung in Howell this past summer, we put our Garden City house up for sale with a Realtor in June. We soon became frustrated with the lack of buyers coming to look. We switched our listing to Robin Kay Cooke in October. She immediately suggested correct pricing and some minor repairs for our house to eliminate buyer questions.
Robin mounted an aggressive advertising campaign on the Internet, in magazines and in local newspapers. We finally started to have showings! When we accepted an offer, the "pre-approved" buyer was turned down by two different mortgage companies. Four weeks later, the buyer's agent told us the deal could not be done.
When most people would give up, Robin persuaded the buyer's agent to send her client for one final look to a mortgage contact she always recommends. Robin's mortgage person was able to get the buyer approved in only two weeks and our house closed in January.
I've learned that all mortgage companies are not alike and that you need to go with a representative who has a track record and is responsive. Similarly, all Realtors are not alike. Robin goes above and beyond the line of duty for her customers. She's a great lady and a smart, determined agent! We highly recommend her to friends and acquaintances alike.

Robin Cooke helped us buy and sell homes in the Fall of 2006. With the economy the way it is, I was reluctant to try to sell my home and look for a larger home, but there was a home that caught my eye nearby and I called and spoke with Robin. She was very enthusiastic and quickly made an appointment to prepare to sell my home in order to purchase the other home. She was prompt and friendly and gave us information to put my home one the market such as First Impressions, an article on removing some clutter so that a buyer can envision their own belongings in the home.
I listed my home in May 2006 and began having open houses on the weekends. Robin ran ads and we continued to show the home in a pretty tough market by listening to Robin's advice. She was always available to answer our questions--even on the weekends and when she was out of town! Toward the end of August, we received an acceptable offer and it was one of Robin's clients, so that was impressive and saved us commission. Robin worked on getting a closing date in October and before you know it we were in our new home--staying in the same area like I wanted and near to my work.
I can say that Robin is persistent, reliable and really helped us accomplish what I didn't know as possible in the current economy. From our first meeting to the last, she consistently worked with us to help us sell and also buy our new home. I would recommend Robin to anyone buying or selling a home. Her loyalty to her profession is very impressive and at all times she treated us with respect and kept in mind what we wanted to accomplish.

As a contractor, I thought I'd try my hand at "flipping houses." I knew I needed a true professional to assist me in my first endeavor. When I contacted Robin and discussed my intentions, she went to work right away. She showed me several homes in my price range and explained in depth the pros and cons of each property and market.
It didn't take me long to realize that I had found a true resource. As I began work on the house, I often turned to Robin for her opinion as to the remodeling projects and which things would be "recoverable" at the resale and which would prove to be a waste of money.
I had several neighbors stop by to wish me luck, because there were a number homes in the area that had been for sale for over a year and many more popped up while I was working on my house. Once again I turned to Robin for advice--and once again she came through. (I eventually learned to listen to her!) Being greedy, I decided to price the home more than $13,000 more than what Robin had suggested. When the house sat for 8 weeks, I finally listened to her and dropped the price by $8,000. We immediately had two offers, it was sold within a week and I still walked away with $5,000 more than I had originally hoped for!!
Over time, I have learned that Robin is a driven individual that prides herself on doing a good job. In my profession, integrity is everything, so I don't recommend anyone that I don't trust because I feel it reflects on my reputation as well. I have sent many close friends to Robin because I know that if anybody can get the job done, Robin can. She is truly a "people" person and I look forward to working with her on my next project.
