All of the Wayne-Westland Community Schools are accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Wayne-Westland offers award winning, innovative scholastic programs to assure every student a high quality education and a jump start on college. The district offers 15 types of Advanced Placement courses that allow high school students to earn college credit, as well as online courses and dual enrollment college opportunities. Wayne-Westland completed a $108 million bond construction project in 1998 and has transformed all the buildings into 21st century schools, with every classroom and media center equipped with computers and other state-of-the-art technology. In addition, the district has passed an additional $30 million "Sinking Fund" to continue the prosperity and educational excellence. The district’s progressive educational programs are rigorous, challenging and prepare students to compete in a global economy.

Lutheran High School Westland of the Lutheran High School Association of Greater Detroit is dedicated to the Christian Education of students in grades 9-12.   Its instruction and training are pointed toward providing a strong educational background while helping students grow in the grace and knowledge of their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
